Trump Reacts To Tucker Carlson Ouster, Dishes On Rivalry With DeSantis
In a recent interview with Newsmax, former President Donald Trump shared his thoughts on Fox News parting ways with top-rated host Tucker Carlson. Trump expressed shock and surprise at Carlson’s departure, calling him a “very good person” and “very talented.” While he speculated that Carlson may have wanted more freedom, Trump did not know if he left voluntarily or was fired.
Fox News announced that the network and Carlson “agreed to part ways,” and his last show was on Friday. The network thanked him for his service and said that “Fox News Tonight” would air live at 8 p.m. ET with rotating network personalities until a new host is named.
During the interview, Trump also discussed his disappointment with Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, who he endorsed for governor but now views as betraying him by considering a presidential campaign. Trump emphasized the importance of loyalty and downplayed the significance of choosing a running mate during the campaign. He also took a jab at President Joe Biden for announcing his re-election campaign through a video, joking that he needed to do it multiple times to get it right.
