Explosive Phone Call Between Lori Vallow Daybell And Sister Played For Jurors
Lori Vallow Daybell’s Sister Testifies About Missing Children
The trial of Lori Vallow Daybell, who is accused of murdering her children and her fifth husband’s first wife, continues with testimony from her older sister, Summer Cox Shiflet. Shiflet revealed that she spoke to Vallow Daybell in February 2020, months after her daughter Tylee and adopted son J.J. were reported missing. According to East Idaho News, Shiflet testified that Vallow Daybell told her she knew where the children were and that they were safe. The jury also heard a phone call between the two sisters, during which Shiflet accused Vallow Daybell of knowing where the children were and putting them in the ground like “a piece of trash.”
Accusations and Denials
The phone call between Vallow Daybell and her sister also touched on Vallow Daybell’s current husband, Chad Daybell, who is facing trial later this year for allegedly murdering Vallow Daybell’s children and his former wife, Tammy. Shiflet urged her sister to consider that Chad had lied and deceived her. Vallow Daybell’s brother, Alex, who reportedly shot her former husband, Charles Vallow, and claimed self-defense, was also discussed. The trial has heard several phone calls, including one between Vallow Daybell and her surviving son, Colby Ryan, who accused her of killing his siblings.
