Ted Cruz predicts Hunter Biden’s DOJ indictment, but there’s a catch.
Sen. Ted Cruz Believes Hunter Biden Will Be Indicted Soon
According to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), the Department of Justice under the Biden administration is close to indicting Hunter Biden. However, Cruz believes that the indictment will only be used to justify the pursuit of former President Donald Trump.
Subpoena Issued to FBI for Alleged Bribery Scheme Involving Joe Biden
Chairman of the House Oversight Committee James Comer (R-KY) issued a subpoena to the FBI on Wednesday, ordering the bureau to turn over a form alleging a “criminal scheme” involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and an unnamed “foreign national.” A whistleblower informed Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) that the form alleges a “bribery scheme.”
Alleged Crime Worthy of Charges
During an appearance on Hannity, Cruz confirmed that the alleged crime would be worthy of charges. “Bribery is explicitly noted in the Constitution,” he said. Cruz also stated that the evidence against Hunter Biden and Joe Biden’s complicity in the corruption is growing.
Investigations into Hunter Biden
Investigations into Hunter Biden began in 2018 and have focused on his finances and business interactions overseas. Investigators have also looked into whether he reported all of his income and whether or not he lied about being a drug abuser on a gun purchase form.
Connection to Joe Biden
Cruz believes that if the Department of Justice focuses on individual crimes committed by Hunter Biden and seals off what makes this a matter of public concern, which is the connection to Joe Biden and the millions Hunter made selling access to “Daddy” when he was vice president, then Merrick Garland, Biden’s attorney general, does not want to get near the growing evidence of corruption going straight to the president of the United States.
Hunter Biden’s Defense
In his 2021 memoir, Beautiful Things, Hunter Biden defended his Burisma work, calling it “inspiring” and “consequential.” However, he also admitted that “the pay was good” and that “there’s no question my last name was a coveted credential.”
Trump’s Legal Battles
Trump’s current legal battles include the E. Jean Carroll civil rape case, which went to trial in Manhattan last week. He has also been charged with 34 counts of business fraud related to alleged 2016 hush money payments. The former president has pleaded not guilty to all of the charges.
