Opposition to Extreme Abortion Position

During the meeting, President Trump reiterated his opposition to the extreme Democratic position of abortion on demand, up until the moment of birth, paid for by taxpayers – and even in some cases after the child is born. Dannenfelser stated that President Trump knows the vast majority of Americans oppose brutal late-term abortions when the child can feel pain and suck their thumbs.

Protecting Unborn Children

The statement did not specify which federal restrictions on abortion were discussed, but Graham introduced a bill that would legalize abortion nationwide during the first 15 weeks of pregnancy. Dannenfelser said that President Trump reiterated that any federal legislation protecting these children would need to include exceptions for the life of the mother and in cases of rape and incest.
