Bud Light and Budweiser launch limited edition Harley Davidson cans in response to declining sales.

Anheuser-Busch Launches New Beer Can Designs

Bud Light and Budweiser Get a Makeover

Anheuser-Busch is shaking things up with new beer can designs for Bud Light and Budweiser. The company is introducing a camouflage Bud Light can as part of an initiative that offers educational scholarships to family members of fallen American military service members and first responders. Meanwhile, Budweiser is releasing a limited edition beer can featuring patterns inspired by motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson.

But the company has faced controversy recently, following its partnership with self-identified transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Bud Light received backlash when executives sent Mulvaney a custom beer can bearing his image. Sales for Bud Light have declined significantly, with a 23.6% drop in the week ended May 6 compared to the same period last year.

Anheuser-Busch has attempted to win back conservative customers by hiring veteran Republican lobbyists, but the company has also faced criticism from the LGBTQ community. Pink News called the new camouflage campaign an attempt to appease “fragile bigots.”

Meanwhile, Miller Lite has also faced controversy over an expletive-filled advertisement that promised to donate fertilizer so that female brewers could grow hops. Molson Coors, which owns Miller Lite, defended the ad and urged customers to “appreciate the humor.”

Despite the controversy, both Anheuser-Busch and Molson Coors have committed to improving female career prospects in their sustainability reports. However, The Daily Wire has asked Molson Coors to define the word “woman” and has not yet received a response.
