Tim Scott shares debut video after filing for 2024 presidential candidacy.
Sen. Tim Scott Announces Presidential Run for 2024
Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) has officially filed paperwork to run for the Republican nomination for president in 2024. In his first video on YouTube since announcing his candidacy, Scott shared his vision for America’s future and urged his audience to teach children about individual responsibility.
A Message of Responsibility
In his video, “Simple Truths,” Scott reflected on the current state of society, where “everyone’s a victim.” He emphasized the importance of hard work, paying back loans, and facing consequences for violent crimes. “Can I get an amen? I’m telling you the truth,” he said.
Scott’s message of personal responsibility has already received high praise from Twitter CEO Elon Musk, who called it a “great message.”
A Major Ad Buy
Scott is planning a major ad buy worth nearly $6 billion, which will run statewide in Iowa and New Hampshire, the first two GOP nominating contests, through the party’s first presidential debate. Other candidates running for the GOP nomination include former President Donald Trump, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and former Gov. Asa Hutchinson (R-AR). Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is expected to enter the race as early as next week.
Early Campaign Events
After officially announcing his campaign on Monday, Scott will travel to Iowa on Wednesday and New Hampshire on Thursday. The following week, he will join Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) at her Roast and Ride event. Scott’s home state of South Carolina will also host an early GOP nominating contest, which has frequently been decisive in competitive races for the Republican presidential nomination.
Join Sen. Tim Scott in his mission to promote individual responsibility and a more optimistic vision for America’s future.
