Sarah Bedford criticizes FBI players for facing minimal consequences for unethical behavior.

Report Shows FBI Officials Face Few Consequences for Unethical Behavior

The recently released report on the origins of the Russian collusion investigation from special counsel John Durham indicated a greater amount of misconduct plaguing the ranks of the FBI than previous investigations. The Washington Examiner’s Sarah Bedford noted that “many of the people cited as having engaged in unethical, and even illegal, behavior remain in positions of power and influence throughout Washington, D.C.”

Double Standard in Treatment of Trump and Clinton Campaigns

Appearing on Fox Report with Jon Scott, Bedford reiterated that there have been “very few consequences for the people who have been found over and over again in every inquiry to have acted in an unethical way.” Bedford also noted that the Durham report revealed a double standard in the treatment of the Trump and Clinton campaigns. The report showed how quickly allegations against Clinton’s campaign were dismissed, despite the aggressive treatment given to similar charges against the Trump campaign.

Ethical and Moral Concerns

Another key point from the Durham report is whether the FBI’s actions were ethical and moral, even if they weren’t strictly illegal. Bedford noted that this aspect of the report is new and highlights the need for accountability and consequences for unethical behavior.
