Mother of Unvaccinated Girl Denied Kidney Transplant by Duke Shares Huge Update

In a Daily Wire exclusive, Yulia Hicks, a child who was denied a kidney transplant by Duke Children’s Hospital last year, will finally be receiving the life-saving operation at another North Carolina hospital. The teen has a genetic kidney disorder that requires a transplant, but her family said last year that Duke was refusing to put Yulia on the kidney wait list because she is unvaccinated against COVID. The family says Yulia has already recovered from having the virus. Yulia’s mother Chrissy Hicks spoke to Morning Wire.

“We are eternally indebted to her generous live donor,” Hicks said. “Thank you again for all of your thoughts and prayers.”

Eric Adams Wants to Ship Illegal Aliens Around the Country

New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D) has a new proposal for dealing with migrants crossing the border, and it involves the federal government dispersing them across America. New York City has seen an influx of more than 55,000 illegal aliens since the spring of 2022, and 35,000 of those are receiving services from the city.

EU Fines Meta Record Amount $1.3 Billion

The European Union has fined Meta, Facebook’s parent company, a record $1.3 billion for data privacy violations. The Irish Data Protection Commission found that Meta had been illicitly transferring user data from Europe to the U.S. The Commission said that they were in breach of the E.U. ‘s General Data Protection Regulation. Meta’s European headquarters are in Dublin.

Debt Negotiations Update

With the clock ticking, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is set to meet with President Biden this evening to continue negotiations over raising the debt ceiling. Economist Kenny Polcari says a default is extremely unlikely.

L.A. Dodgers Face Backlash From LGBT Activists After Canceling On Drag Queens

The Los Angeles Dodgers are facing backlash from LGBT activists after rescinding their invitation to The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence from their Pride Night celebration, saying the troupe’s presence would not be in alignment with a “spirit of unity.” As a result of the rescinded invitation, L.A. Pride has pulled out of the annual Dodgers pride night event.
