During an interview with The Observer, McCarthy described how the experience made her physically ill and caused people to weep. She didn’t name names but said the manipulation worked because the person in charge would fire people she loved. McCarthy plays the villain in the live-action version of “The Little Mermaid,” which debuts in theaters Memorial Day weekend.
Making Comedies in Hollywood
