Profanity-laced video shows professor shoving pro-life display.

Art Professor Caught on Video Cursing at Pro-Life Students

Shellyne Rodriguez, an adjunct assistant professor at Hunter College in New York City, was caught on video cursing at pro-life students and shoving their educational materials off of a display table. The incident occurred in early May, and the video has since gone viral.

As the pro-life students stood behind their display, Rodriguez approached them and taunted, “You’re not educating s***. This is f***ing propaganda. What are you going to do, like, anti-trans next? Is that what you’re gonna do next?”

When a male pro-life student responded quietly, “We are talking about abortion,” Rodriguez claimed, “This is bulls***. This is violent. You’re triggering my students.” She then proceeded to shove the materials off of the table and walked off, saying, “F*** this s***.”

Reactions to the Incident

Many social media users have condemned Rodriguez’s behavior, with one user commenting, “When you believe everyone agrees with you, you can become quite entitled to your rage.” Another user, who identified as a Hunter College alum, added, “The prof was way out of line.”

However, the PSC Graduate Center, comprised of graduate and professional schools at the City University of New York, defended Rodriguez’s actions, claiming that the pro-life group was propagating “dangerously false propaganda” and that Rodriguez’s actions to shut down the tabling were “fully justified.”

Despite this defense, a spokesperson for Hunter College stated that the college is “taking this matter very seriously” and has opened an investigation into Rodriguez’s actions.
