Anna Paulina Luna accuses Adam Schiff of being a criminal and promises he will face consequences.
Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Calls for Criminal Charges Against Adam Schiff
“He’s a criminal. What he did was wrong. And, Adam Schiff, you will be held accountable,” Luna told Fox News’s Sunday Morning Futures.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is seeking to charge Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) with a $16 million fine for lying to the American public. Luna alleged that Schiff falsely claimed to have “more than circumstantial evidence” that former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign colluded with Russia to win the election.

Special counsel John Durham’s report, released last month, concluded that “neither U.S. law enforcement nor the intelligence community appears to have possessed any actual evidence of collusion in their holdings at the commencement of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation,” which investigated alleged Russian interference in the election.
In response to the report, Luna proposed a privileged resolution to censure Schiff and impose a $16 million fine for his comments. Schiff, who chaired the House Intelligence Committee during Trump’s final two years in office, publicly maintained during the Trump administration that there was “ample evidence of collusion in plain sight.”
“We are going to fine that man $16 million for using his position to lie to the American people and ultimately push something that not only destroyed our country, ripped us apart, but also too was responsible for almost, I believe, maybe even potentially permanently damaging foreign relations,” Luna added.
- At one point, Schiff read pieces of the controversial Steele dossier into the Congressional Record back in 2017. That dossier contains numerous unconfirmed allegations of Trump’s links to Russia.
- Luna apprised that Schiff’s “egregious lie” cost taxpayers “over $32 million,” referring to the legal costs for investigating alleged Russian ties to Trump’s 2016 campaign.
Schiff, who is running in a heated primary for California Senate, previously shrugged off Luna’s motion and stressed that he isn’t backing down. “MAGA extremists just filed a motion to censure and fine me $16 million because I stood up to Donald Trump and his allies. They’re 8 days away from defaulting on our debt, but Speaker McCarthy and his MAGA allies would rather try to silence me. But I’m not backing down. Ever,” he tweeted.
Schiff served as an investigator in Trump’s first impeachment and a manager in his second impeachment.
