Amy Schumer ridicules Hilaria Baldwin for exaggerating her Spanish roots.

Amy Schumer Mocks Hilaria Baldwin’s Spanish Heritage Controversy in New Netflix Special

Comedian and far-Left activist Amy Schumer came down hard on Alec Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin, who made headlines in 2020 for suggesting that she was from Spain and playing up her Spanish heritage despite hailing from the United States.

In her new Netflix stand-up special, “Emergency Contact,” Amy Schumer addressed the controversy surrounding Hilaria Baldwin’s Spanish heritage claims. Schumer described meeting Baldwin “years ago” on the set of “Saturday Night Live” and recalled how Baldwin claimed to be “from España” and spoke with “a very thick Spanish accent.”

“And all of this would be fine and beautiful, except that ‘Hilaria from España’ is actually Hillary from Boston,” Schumer said. “This woman is in no way Spanish. Her parents are not from Spain. No one in her life is from Spain. You’re going, ‘What?!’”

Schumer also poked fun at the Baldwin family’s large brood of children, comparing them to the von Trapp family from “The Sound of Music” and their “very Spanish names like Jamón, Croqueta, and Flamenco.”

Despite the controversy, Hilaria Baldwin has defended her claims of Spanish heritage, stating that she spent part of her childhood in Spain and grew up speaking two languages. However, Schumer’s comedic take on the situation has certainly added fuel to the fire.
