Most Michigan voters dislike Joe Biden and Donald Trump: Poll.
Likely Michigan Voters Divided on Biden and Trump
According to a recent EPIC-MRA poll, the opinions of likely Michigan voters are split when it comes to President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump. The survey, conducted from June 8 to 14, included approximately 600 participants who were primarily white and aged between 35 and 64.
Only 39% of respondents viewed Biden favorably, while an even smaller percentage, 34%, had a favorable opinion of Trump. On the flip side, Biden received an unfavorable rating from 52% of participants, while Trump’s unfavorable rating stood at 57%.
Biden’s First Term Performance
When asked about Biden’s performance during his first term as president, only 9% of respondents described it as “excellent,” and 20% believed it was “pretty good.” However, a significant majority of 69% gave Biden a negative rating for his performance.
Despite these mixed opinions, when asked to choose between Biden and Trump in the 2024 presidential election, both candidates received an equal share of the vote at 44%. Approximately 10% of respondents remained undecided.
This poll, released on Friday, comes just ahead of Trump’s upcoming visit to Michigan on June 25. During his visit, the Oakland County Republican Party plans to honor him with the prestigious “man of the decade” award.
The EPIC-MRA poll had a margin of error of 4%.
