Victims Identified, One Still Missing

The victims have been identified as Becky Randall and Cindy Brangrove, both women in their 60s, and 11-year-old Matthew Ramirez. Tragically, Ramirez was found in a trailer park, while Randall was located in a print shop and Brangrove at a food bank. The search continues for Ruben Villegas, a 64-year-old who remains missing in the aftermath of the tornado.

Communities Rally Together

Ochiltree General Hospital has been working tirelessly to treat the injured, with 115 people receiving medical attention for cuts, lacerations, and minor head injuries. The hospital spokesperson expressed gratitude for the support received from local counties and hospitals, emphasizing the unity and resilience of the small town.

Rebuilding and Recovery Ahead

The Perryton Fire Department, which suffered significant damage, shared heartbreaking images of the destruction on social media. They called for prayers and highlighted the immense task of rebuilding the community in the days to come.

Government Response and Future Concerns

Governor Greg Abbott of Texas has activated the Texas Division of Emergency Management to provide assistance to Perryton. He urged Texans to follow the guidance of state and local officials and offered prayers for those affected by the tornadoes. As the affected states brace for more severe weather, including New Jersey, Virginia, Mississippi, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, and Florida, communities remain on high alert.
