DeSantis: America’s Revival Hinges on Spirituality

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis: Faith is Key to Turning America Around

Florida Governor and Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis believes that a crucial component for turning America around is a return to faith.

DeSantis expressed this during an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), where he discussed various issues related to his faith.

“I firmly believe that it doesn’t matter where you start,” DeSantis emphasized. “If you work hard and stay committed, God has a plan for you, and you can thrive in this country.”

The governor credits his Catholic faith for keeping him grounded and emphasizes the importance of living out one’s faith rather than just talking about it.

“Our household is centered around Christ,” DeSantis shared. “We are raising our children with these values, and it’s incredibly rewarding when they come home from preschool or kindergarten talking about stories like David and Goliath. It warms our hearts to see their enthusiasm.”

DeSantis highlighted a scripture that is central to his identity, quoting Jesus’ words, “I’m the way, the truth, and the life.”

“That’s ultimately what our faith revolves around,” DeSantis explained. “While traditions are important, what truly matters is our relationship with God and where our hearts stand.”

During the interview, DeSantis also criticized former President Donald Trump for not supporting Florida’s heartbeat law.

“Although I appreciate the former president’s accomplishments in various areas, he opposed our bill,” DeSantis revealed. “He deemed it ‘harsh’ to protect an unborn child once a heartbeat is detected. I believe it’s a humane measure.”

“I was genuinely surprised because he resides in Florida, and I expected him to acknowledge and commend our efforts in passing the heartbeat bill, which pro-lifers have long desired,” DeSantis added. “But he never mentioned it. When asked, he simply called it ‘harsh.’”

DeSantis firmly believes that for the country to turn around, people must reconnect with their faith.

“It has to be a spiritual revival,” he asserted. “A strong faith is what will guide us through these turbulent times.”

“Yes, we face economic problems and challenges at the border, all of which are significant, but we must ask ourselves, why are we here? Why are we a free nation?” DeSantis posed. “We are free because God has endowed us with inalienable rights. That’s the foundation of America. Our Constitution was designed not to grant us rights, but to safeguard the rights that God has already bestowed upon us.”
