Final June payments for SNAP benefit programs are being sent this week.

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program: Important Dates and Information

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial support to individuals and families in need. SNAP benefits are distributed monthly, with the specific dates varying by state. As we approach the middle of June, it’s important to note that some SNAP programs will issue their final payments for the month before resuming in July.

Typically, recipients can expect their SNAP benefits to be reloaded on the same day each month. The exact date depends on factors such as the recipient’s Social Security number, last name, case number, or account number.

The average monthly SNAP benefit for a household of three is $577, with a maximum benefit of $740. For a household of eight, the average payment is $1,150, with a maximum benefit of $1,691. For households larger than eight, an additional $211 per person can be added to the maximum benefit.
