CNN panel angered by Republicans Tim Scott and Nikki Haley’s denial of ‘systemic racism’.

A CNN Panel Criticizes Sen. Tim Scott and Ambassador Nikki Haley for Denying Systemic Racism

A CNN panel on Monday criticized Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley, both potential 2024 presidential candidates, for denying the existence of “systemic racism.”

During “CNN This Morning,” the hosts discussed Scott and Haley’s response to former President Barack Obama’s comments about their lack of seriousness in addressing systemic racism.

Haley, the former Republican Governor of South Carolina, tweeted, “[Barack Obama] set minorities back by singling them out as victims instead of empowering them. In America, hard work & personal responsibility matter. My parents didn’t raise me to think that I would forever be a victim. They raised me to know that I was responsible for my success.”

Scott stated that Obama “missed” an opportunity to “unite the country” and reiterated that the “truth” of his life disproves the lies of the radical Left.

Los Angeles Times Opinion columnist LZ Granderson criticized Scott for not acknowledging that systemic racism is what delayed the election of an African American from the South to the Senate for “100 years.”

CNN’s Senior political analyst Ron Brownstein stated that Haley and Scott’s comments reveal the Republican coalition’s belief that systemic discrimination does not exist against minorities and women.

Scott’s Response to “The View”

During Scott’s recent appearance on “The View,” he confronted the hosts over their “dangerous, offensive, and disgusting” messages about success among black people being the exception rather than the rule. When asked to define “systemic racism,” Scott emphasized that it is harmful to suggest that the only way for young African Americans to succeed is by being the exception.
