Marianne Williamson loses more campaign staff as another manager departs.
Marianne Williamson Loses Second Campaign Manager in Two Months
Marianne Williamson’s 2024 presidential campaign has suffered yet another setback with the departure of her second campaign manager in just two months. The news was first reported by the left-wing podcast The Vanguard and later confirmed by sources familiar with the campaign.
“She tried to right the ship and lead this campaign. Marianne knocked her down every chance she got,” said one source.
The latest departure comes on the heels of revelations about the campaign manager’s past. Roza Calderon was accused of financial fraud by a local Democratic group in 2017. The case was settled out of court in 2019, resulting in Calderon being put on probation for three years and ordered not to hold positions “of trust” for elderly or dependent adults.
Williamson’s campaign has been plagued by staffing issues. Last month, campaign manager Peter Daou resigned to care for his sick mother, while former deputy campaign manager Jason Call also resigned without providing a reason due to a nondisclosure agreement.
With limited Democratic support and a series of setbacks, Williamson’s campaign is considered a long shot in the race.
