US-funded Chinese scientist became sick during COVID outbreak: Report.

A Scientist Funded by the U.S. Government Falls Ill with COVID-19

A new report has revealed a startling discovery – one of the first individuals to contract what is believed to be COVID-19 was none other than a scientist studying coronaviruses. What’s even more surprising is that this scientist was funded by the U.S. government.

According to the Wall Street Journal, a scientist named Ben Hu from the Wuhan Institute of Virology was one of the first researchers to fall ill with symptoms consistent with COVID-19 at the beginning of the pandemic. Hu had been conducting lab research, funded by the United States, on the impact of coronaviruses on humans.

This report adds weight to the theory that the pandemic originated from a lab leak in Wuhan, China, and suggests that U.S. funding of coronavirus research may have played a role in the development of this novel virus, leading to months of government-mandated lockdowns.

This revelation comes just a month after a report by Republican senator Marco Rubio concluded that the Wuhan lab was the likely source of the virus. The 328-page report highlights systemic negligence among scientists and government incompetence, which left the lab vulnerable to a potential leak.

Both the Energy Department and the FBI have identified the Wuhan lab as the probable origin of the virus.

Reports indicate that the U.S. government may have made duplicate payments, potentially amounting to tens of millions of dollars, to the Wuhan lab.
