House set to release whistleblower testimony accusing Hunter Biden of cover-up.

House Republicans to Release Whistleblower Allegations Against Hunter Biden

House Republicans are set to unveil documents this week containing explosive allegations made by whistleblowers from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). These allegations claim that the Justice Department deliberately delayed its investigation into Hunter Biden, following his recent plea deal regarding tax crimes.

“If the federal government is not treating all taxpayers equally, Congress has a duty to hold agencies accountable by providing transparency and bringing new facts to light,” House Republicans on the Ways and Means Committee stated. The committee is scheduled to convene on Thursday to discuss the testimony of the whistleblowers.

The committee also announced that “during Thursday’s session, we will follow where the facts lead and will release the appropriate details afterward.” Hunter Biden recently agreed to plead guilty to misdemeanor tax crimes, avoiding imprisonment and potentially concluding a five-year federal investigation.

The documents in question revolve around two IRS whistleblowers who have come forward regarding the agency’s investigation into Biden’s taxes.

The first whistleblower, Gary Shapley, a supervisory special agent, requested whistleblower protections in April to disclose explosive claims of “preferential treatment” shown to Biden by the Biden administration, which hindered the investigation. Shapley alleged that Attorney General Merrick Garland provided misleading testimony in March, stating that the U.S. attorney in Delaware, who has overseen the Biden probe since 2018, was allowed to proceed without interference.

After coming forward, Shapley and his entire team were removed from the Biden probe in what appears to be a clear act of retaliation. Shapley provided approximately six hours of testimony to the House committee regarding his allegations.

A second whistleblower emerged in May, claiming to have faced retaliation for raising concerns about the agency’s investigation. This second whistleblower, who remains unidentified, has already provided a deposition to Congress.
