The White House Denies Business Involvement Between President Biden and Son Hunter

The White House is vehemently denying allegations that President Joe Biden was involved in business dealings with his son Hunter, following intense scrutiny from House Republicans and bombshell revelations from an IRS whistleblower.

“As we have said many times before, the president was not in business with his son,” stated White House Counsel’s Office spokesman Ian Smith. “As we have also said many times before, the Justice Department makes decisions in its criminal investigations independently, and in this case, the White House has not been involved.”

During a briefing, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre redirected questions to Smith, emphasizing the administration’s stance on the matter. Smith further reiterated the president’s support for his son, stating, “As the president has said, he loves his son and is proud of him accepting responsibility for his actions and is proud of what he is doing to rebuild his life.”

One of the whistleblowers, Gary Shapley, an IRS supervisory special agent involved in the investigation into Hunter Biden, revealed a text message from July 30, 2017. In the message, Hunter Biden mentioned his father multiple times as he demanded payment from Henry Zhao, the group chairman of China’s Harvest Fund Management.

“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight,” Hunter Biden wrote. “And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”

Hunter Biden’s personal attorney, Chris Clark, dismissed the allegations as “preposterous and deeply irresponsible.” Clark emphasized that any actions or words from his client, during a difficult period of addiction, were solely his own and not connected to his family. He also raised doubts about the authenticity of the document released by the biased individual, cautioning against drawing conclusions based on it.

Despite the controversy, the White House remains firm in its denial of any business involvement between President Biden and his son.
