Eric Adams moving undocumented immigrants globally, including China: Report

New York City Mayor Eric Adams Resettles Illegal Immigrants Across the Country and Around the World

According to a new report, New York City Mayor Eric Adams has resettled illegal immigrants who arrived in the Big Apple in various locations, including China. This comes after Adams criticized Texas for sending illegal migrants to New York, calling it “horrific.”

The report reveals that Adams sent 114 migrant households to over a dozen states and five countries, including China, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador, as POLITICO reported.

Outrage and Hypocrisy

The move has sparked criticism, with a spokesperson for Republican Texas Governor Greg Abbott questioning the lack of outrage and condemnation from the White House and Democrats. They called on Adams to urge President Biden and Congress to secure the southern border instead of engaging in hypocritical charades.

The information obtained through a public information request reveals that the city spent $50,000 of taxpayer money on the flights between April 2022 and April 2023. More than a dozen states received illegal immigrants, with Florida receiving 28 households, Texas receiving 14, North Carolina receiving 6, and Illinois receiving 5.

Defending the Move

Kate Smart, a spokeswoman for Adams, defended the resettlement, highlighting the difference between Adams’ actions and those of Abbott and Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida. Smart stated that New York City has been working to connect individuals with friends, family, and networks, whether within the city or outside of it. She emphasized that they are not coercing people to leave or suggesting specific locations, but rather assisting those who want to reconnect with loved ones or communities.

Despite his own actions, Adams has been vocal about his disapproval of Abbott, who has sent nearly 10,000 migrants to New York. He has criticized Abbott’s approach, stating that it goes against the democratic values that New York City represents.

During an August press conference, Adams expressed his concerns, calling Abbott’s actions unimaginable and highlighting the historical openness of the United States to those fleeing persecution and intolerable conditions.
