Democrat State Senator from Rhode Island arrested for allegedly vandalizing Trump supporter’s vehicle.
Rhode Island State Senator Arrested for Vandalism and Malicious Injury to Property
Last week, a Democrat state senator from Rhode Island found himself in hot water after being arrested and charged with vandalism and malicious injury to property. The incident occurred at an outdoor shopping area, where the lawmaker allegedly vandalized a vehicle with an “anti-Biden” sticker.
The arrest took place on Thursday when Cranston Police took State Senator Joshua Miller into custody. He was accused of “keying” an SUV in the Garden City Center parking lot. The vehicle’s owner identified Miller as the suspect, claiming to have seen him standing beside their car with a keychain and quickly walking away after being confronted.
The victim, a supporter of former President Donald Trump, noticed a vehicle nearby with a “Re-elect Senator Josh Miller” bumper sticker. After the incident, the victim identified Miller online and reported him to the authorities.
Initially, Miller denied the accusation, stating that the victim was blocking his way and falsely claiming that he scratched his car. However, surveillance video footage obtained by Cranston PD showed Miller admitting to the crime when confronted at his house.

Miller was subsequently charged with vandalism and malicious injury to property. He was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.
Cranston Police Chief Michael Winquist emphasized that no one is above the law, including those who make and enforce it. He commended the officers for their fair and unbiased handling of the investigation.
Miller’s controversial past activities have also come to light. In a previous video, he was captured telling a man, “Go f*ck yourself,” after the man mentioned the importance of the Second Amendment. Rhode Island GOP Chairman Joe Powers called for Miller’s resignation, stating that his behavior is unbecoming of someone in a leadership position.
Miller is scheduled to be formally arraigned in court on July 18.
