Lawyer seeks leniency using Hunter Biden’s plea deal in teacher shooting case involving child’s mother.

Hunter Biden’s Lenient Plea Deal Sparks Interest from Defense Attorneys

Defense attorneys are taking note of Hunter Biden’s lenient plea deal, using it as a basis to argue against jail time for their own clients. One Virginia lawyer, Eugene Rossi, plans to cite Biden’s plea deal in the case of his client, Deja Taylor, who has pleaded guilty to lying about her marijuana use when purchasing a handgun. Taylor’s 6-year-old son used the firearm to shoot an elementary school teacher in January.

Taylor faces the possibility of 18 to 24 months in prison for her offense, while Biden stands to avoid prison time through a plea deal in which he’ll only plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax offenses.

Biden’s firearms charge, which includes purchasing a firearm as a drug user, will be diverted as a condition of his probation under the deal. This means he will avoid prosecution and have the offense erased from his record if he completes the terms of his probation.

Biden falsely indicated on an ATF Form 4473 that he wasn’t a user of a controlled substance during the 2018 gun purchase. However, he openly discussed his extensive crack cocaine use in his 2021 autobiography “Beautiful Things.”

The revolver Biden purchased was later discarded in a dumpster near a high school by his then-lover, Hallie Biden, who is also his brother’s widow.

It hasn’t gone unnoticed that Taylor faces significant prison time for the same offense while Biden avoids jail. Rossi plans to highlight this inconsistency in his sentencing memo, emphasizing the government’s disparate treatment of a vulnerable young mother compared to Biden.

Sen. Marsha Blackburn also questioned the discrepancy, criticizing the Department of Justice for giving Biden a “sweetheart deal” while sending Taylor to prison for the same offense.

Whistleblowers within the Internal Revenue Service have also revealed political interference from Department of Justice officials in the investigation of Hunter Biden’s taxes.
