Fox replaces Tucker Carlson with Jesse Watters.

Exciting Changes to Fox News Primetime Lineup

Big news from Fox News! The network has just announced an exciting overhaul to its primetime schedule, bringing in some familiar faces and shaking things up.

New Faces, New Timeslots

Starting this week, viewers can expect to see Laura Ingraham at 7 p.m., Sean Hannity at 9 p.m., Greg Gutfeld at 10 p.m., and Trace Gallagher hosting the news hour at 11 p.m. But the biggest change of all is the addition of Jesse Watters, who will be taking over the coveted 8 p.m. timeslot previously held by Tucker Carlson.

According to Fox News CEO Suzanne Scott, this new lineup promises to deliver unparalleled coverage and diverse perspectives. In a recent statement, she expressed her excitement for the future, saying, “The unique perspectives of Laura Ingraham, Jesse Watters, Sean Hannity, and Greg Gutfeld will ensure our viewers have access to unrivaled coverage from our best-in-class team for years to come.”

This announcement comes after Fox News and Tucker Carlson agreed to part ways in April. The network expressed gratitude for Carlson’s contributions and announced that an interim show, “Fox News Tonight,” would be hosted by rotating personalities until a permanent replacement is named.

While the news of Carlson’s departure came as a surprise to many, it followed Fox News settling a lawsuit with Dominion Voting Systems for nearly $800 million. Carlson was expected to testify in the case, had it gone forward.

The impact of Carlson’s exit was felt immediately, with Fox Corporation’s stock plummeting by a staggering $1 billion.

It’s worth noting that “Tucker Carlson Tonight” was the highest-rated program in cable news for the younger 25-54 demographic during the first quarter of 2023. However, other Fox News shows like “The Five,” “Jesse Watters Primetime,” “Hannity,” and “Special Report with Bret Baier” also garnered impressive viewership numbers.

Jesse Watters, who joined Fox News in 2002, has been a familiar face on the network. From his early days as a correspondent for “The O’Reilly Factor” to hosting “Watters’ World” on Saturday nights and co-hosting “The Five,” he has become a fan favorite. Now, with his new role as the anchor of the 8 p.m. hour, Watters is set to take Fox News by storm.
