National Political Correspondent Neil W. McCabe interviewed Florida GOP state Rep. Joel Rudman, Fla.-22, who is advancing legislation that gives the Florida Department of Law Enforcement three days to complete a firearm purchase background check, a so-called “shot clock.” Rudman, a physician, said current Florida law allows background checks to go on indefinitely, with cases dropped after two years.
