Republican Senator Calls for Whistleblowers to Expose Corruption

Republican Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson is urging more whistleblowers to come forward and shed light on the alleged corruption within the media and the federal government. As Republicans delve into the purported Biden family corruption, Johnson made these remarks during a video interview with Newsmax host Rob Schmidt. He expressed concern over the FBI’s interference in his and Republican Iowa Sen. Chuck Grassley‘s investigation into the Hunter Biden laptop.

Johnson took to Twitter to emphasize the need for more whistleblowers, stating, “For years I’ve been saying there is a much larger story than Biden family corruption. The corruption inside our federal agencies and MSM is extensive. We need more whistleblowers to come forward and tell us the truth. That is the only way to restore integrity and credibility.”

In addition, Johnson stated that he did not take pleasure in investigating Hunter Biden but expressed concern about the potential compromise if Joe Biden were to become president. He claimed that the corruption in Washington is “breathtaking” and has been ongoing for years, citing examples such as the Obama-era IRS scandal and the FBI’s exoneration of Hillary Clinton in her email scandal. Johnson highlighted the backlash they faced for investigating Hunter Biden’s connection to Joe Biden, with the mainstream media accusing them of soliciting and disseminating Russian disinformation.

Furthermore, Johnson revealed that the FBI confirmed the authenticity of the Hunter Biden laptop, despite informing him and Grassley that they were being targeted by Russian disinformation. This revelation aligns with IRS whistleblower Gary Shapely’s testimony, where he stated that the FBI had authenticated the laptop as early as November 2019.

As Republicans continue their investigation into alleged influence peddling by the Biden family, including in China and Ukraine, newly released testimony from two IRS whistleblowers alleges that Hunter Biden threatened a Chinese business partner for payment by invoking his father. In a July 2017 text, Hunter reportedly wrote, “We would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.” Just 10 days later, Hunter received $5.1 million from a Chinese official linked to CEFC China Energy, according to the Washington Free Beacon.
