Dylan Mulvaney slams Bud Light over controversy.

Controversial Transgender Influencer Blasts Bud Light

In a video that went viral on Thursday, transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney expressed his disappointment with Bud Light for not standing up for him after their marketing collaboration caused a major backlash, resulting in a significant loss in market value for Anheuser-Busch.

Mulvaney, who identifies as a woman, felt compelled to address the issue and share his feelings. He explained, “I had a brand deal with a company I genuinely admired. I posted a sponsored video on my page, and somehow it became a huge controversy. It felt like I was on a billboard or a TV commercial, but it was just an Instagram video.”

The ad featured Mulvaney promoting a special can with his face on it, which unfortunately led to an onslaught of bullying and transphobia. Mulvaney expressed his regret for not speaking up sooner, admitting that he was scared of further backlash and felt guilty for what had transpired. He had hoped the brand would reach out to him, but they never did.

Feeling abandoned by the company, Mulvaney emphasized, “For a company to hire a trans person and then not publicly support them is even worse than not hiring a trans person at all. It gives customers permission to be as transphobic and hateful as they want. This hate doesn’t just affect me; it has serious consequences for our entire community.”

Mulvaney also debunked the notion that the transgender debate is purely political, stating, “There should be nothing controversial or divisive about working with us.”
