Abortion Doctor Accused of Sinister Act Against Pro-Life Protester
A pro-life protester in Saginaw Township, Michigan, had a terrifying encounter last week when he was run over not once, but twice, by the abortionist at the clinic where he was demonstrating.
“I was standing in the driveway and the abortionist ran over my leg [using his vehicle]. … And then he had to reverse to get off my leg, so he ran me over twice.” – Mark Zimmerman
Zimmerman, who was demonstrating outside the Women’s Center of Saginaw, identified the driver as Theodore Roummel, the doctor who works at the clinic.
A fundraising campaign on GiveSendGo, started by Zimmerman’s friends, revealed that Roummel showed no remorse for the incident. In fact, he reportedly laughed at Zimmerman as he lay injured on the ground.
Other pro-life protesters at the scene called 911, while Roummel argued with the police, claiming that the protesters always run in front of him, which Zimmerman denies.
Despite four witnesses confirming the incident, Roummel was not arrested and went on to perform five abortions that day.
Zimmerman has been informed by the police that the incident is still under investigation, but he expressed frustration, saying, “If the roles were reversed, I would have been taken away in handcuffs.”
This is not the first time Roummel has injured a pro-life protester. In 2012, he ran over Lynn Mills, director of Pro-Life Michigan, and was arrested and charged with assault.
According to the GiveSendGo appeal, Roummel has a history of making threatening comments and driving recklessly to intimidate protesters.
Zimmerman’s injury will require surgery to repair his fractured tibia. He remains steadfast in his commitment to speak out for life, stating, “Once I’m all done with this whole ordeal, I will continue to go back and continue ministering. I feel God called me to do this.”
The GiveSendGo campaign has raised over $6,000 towards its $40,000 goal, with prayer requests including repentance for the clinic staff, healing for Zimmerman, strength for pro-life advocates, and justice for the violent assault.
The Western Journal reached out to the Women’s Center of Saginaw for comment but has not received a response.
Despite the traumatic incident, Zimmerman has forgiven Roummel and remains determined to fight for the sanctity of life.
