Biden’s Energy Secretary Faces EV Charger Shortage During ‘Green’ Energy Tour.

Granholm’s “Gasoline, Gasoline” Cameo and the EV Charger Shortage

After leaving her position as governor of Michigan and before becoming President Joe Biden’s energy secretary, Jennifer Granholm made a cameo in an anti-gas music video called “Gasoline, Gasoline (The World’s Aflame).” Lip-syncing to a horrid song about how “fossil fools” were ruining the earth, Granholm backed an environmentalist group’s call to action to end our dependence on gasoline.

Recently, Granholm went on what she called the “people-powered summer road trip,” driving through the southeastern U.S. in her electric vehicle to show people how a road trip in an EV works. However, the trip didn’t go as smoothly as planned.

During the tour, there were challenges with the existing infrastructure for electric vehicles. Charging stations were broken, and there were more people wanting to charge than there were chargers available. Even in areas with lots of electric vehicles, there have been substantial problems with keeping chargers operational.

Despite Granholm’s efforts to promote clean energy and electric vehicles, the reality of the EV charger shortage was evident. The “people-powered summer road trip” didn’t live up to expectations, highlighting the challenges that electric vehicle owners face when it comes to charging their cars.

It seems that Granholm may have been pining for a fling with her old flame, petroleum, after experiencing the frustrations of the EV charger shortage. While she may have broken up with gas-powered vehicles, the reality of the current infrastructure made her realize that there is still work to be done.
