Target refuses to sell Mark Levin’s book, citing potential offense to liberal customers.

Target Bans Conservative Radio Host’s Book

Get ready for some controversy! Conservative radio personality Mark Levin’s highly anticipated book has been banned by Target, one of the largest retail chains in the country. But why? Well, it seems that Target was concerned that the book, titled “The Democrat Party Hates America,” would offend Democrats. Can you believe it?

In a tweet on July 6, Mr. Levin expressed his disappointment, stating that Target informed his publisher, Simon & Schuster, that they will not carry his book upon its release on September 19. According to Mr. Levin, Target claimed that the book’s title might offend certain customers. Talk about left-wing censorship!

So, what’s the book all about? Mr. Levin characterizes the Democrat Party as an entity that has been actively working to rewrite history and destroy the foundation of freedom in America since its establishment. It’s definitely a bold take on the subject.

Support and Opposition

As expected, the banning of Mr. Levin’s book sparked a heated debate. Some people, like Ryan Grim from The Intercept and James Surowiecki, author of “The Wisdom of Crowds,” justified Target’s decision, arguing that the book’s title slurs a significant portion of its customer base.

However, many others came out in support of Mr. Levin and criticized Target’s censorship. Former National Security advisor Mike Flynn tweeted, “Let’s give @marklevinshow a big lift here. This is simply another form of censorship. #WeThePeople are going to stand our ground and say ENOUGH is ENOUGH!” Brent Bozell, founder of Media Research Center, also chimed in, reminding conservatives not to shop at Target.

The Epoch Times has reached out to Target for comment, but no response has been received yet.

Boycotting Target

This isn’t the first time Target has faced backlash. Earlier this year, the retail chain faced boycott calls after launching its Pride collection, which included items aimed at children. Books like “Pride 1,2,3,” “Bye Bye, Binary,” and “I’m Not a Girl” were available for kids aged 2–8. Target even suggested “The Pronoun Book” for kids aged 0–3. In the home décor section, mugs labeled “Gender Fluid” were on offer. And for adults, Target had transgender swimsuits with a “tuck-friendly” feature.

These controversial offerings didn’t sit well with everyone, and the boycott calls quickly gained momentum. It seems like Target just can’t catch a break!
