Greene remains tight-lipped on removal rumors from House Freedom Caucus.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s Membership in House Freedom Caucus Questioned

In a recent development, rumors have circulated that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has been removed from the House Freedom Caucus. When asked about these rumors, Greene neither confirmed nor denied the reports.

When approached by The Epoch Times for a statement, Greene emphasized her commitment to serving her constituents in Northwest Georgia above any political group in Washington. She stated, “My America First credentials, guided by my Christian faith, are unyielding. I fight against the hate-America Democrats every day, working to protect our borders, defend the unborn, end foreign wars, and save our country.”

While Rep. Andy Harris (R-Md.) confirmed the vote to remove Greene from the caucus, Rep. Russ Fulcher (R-Idaho) claimed to be unaware of such a move. Rep. Mark Green (R-Tenn.), another caucus member, declined to comment, citing confidentiality agreements.

Throughout the 118th Congress, Greene has clashed with the House Freedom Caucus. Unlike many caucus members, she supported House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and played a role in securing key concessions for him. These concessions ultimately helped McCarthy become second in line to the presidency.

Furthermore, Greene voted in favor of the debt ceiling law, a decision that diverged from the majority of the caucus. She also allegedly engaged in a heated confrontation with Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) on the House floor, expressing her displeasure with Boebert’s introduction of an article of impeachment against President Joe Biden.

As Congress prepares to resume its busy agenda, with the fiscal year ending in September and no appropriations bills passed, the status of Greene’s membership in the Freedom Caucus remains uncertain.
