Beach Boys member afraid to sing ‘gender-specific’ song: Hopes no Budweiser representatives are present.
Former Beach Boy Mike Love Afraid to Perform “Surfer Girl” Due to Gender Concerns
During a recent concert, former Beach Boy Mike Love made a surprising announcement that he was hesitant to perform the band’s iconic hit song, “Surfer Girl.” Love expressed his fear of potential backlash due to the song’s “gender specific” lyrics.
Love cleverly addressed his concerns by taking a playful jab at Anheuser-Busch, referencing the recent controversy surrounding the company’s ill-fated partnership with trans-identifying influencer Dylan Mulvaney. He jokingly hoped that there were no representatives from Budweiser present at the concert.

“At any rate, this next song. I’m a little concerned about doing, on account of… it’s gender specific,” Love playfully began, eliciting laughter and applause from the crowd. “And… I hope there’s nobody from Budweiser here… or the FBI.”
“Sorry, I apologize in advance for anything I might say or do… it’s a family tradition, you know what I’m saying?” Love continued jokingly, before adding, “This is dedicated to all the ladies.”
“Good for #MikeLove, who is clearly kidding here— but the threat of ruinous bullying is very real for Americans who refuse to bend the knee to today’s gender mafia,” Mark Davis tweeted in response to the video.
“The real fear is Jonah Hill bursting onto the stage like the Kool Aid man because Mike Love had the audacity to sing about his woman,” another individual joked.
The Jonah Hill joke seemed to reference the actor’s recently-leaked text messages, in which he listed “surfing with men” as an activity that his ideal partner would not engage in.
Women say there are no good men. The truth is there are plenty of good men but many women don’t want to rise to the level of being good women.
Basic respect for yourself and your partner isn’t a tall ask.

In those leaked messages, Hill also mentioned his aversion to “boundaryless inappropriate friendships with men,” the need to “post pictures of yourself in a bathing suit,” and having “friendships with women who are in unstable places and from your wild recent past beyond getting a lunch or coffee or something respectful.”
Critics attacked Hill for pursuing a woman who had previously posted such photos, accusing him of hypocrisy. However, Daily Wire host Candace Owens pointed out that Hill had not criticized the woman for her posts before, but rather asked her to stop after they began dating.
There were no demands made. He respectfully stated what he wanted and then told her if that wasn’t what she wanted, they could both move on.
And then he literally moved on, and she clearly hasn’t.
