Billionaire Elon Musk and podcast host Joe Rogan criticize article labeling exercise and fitness as “far right”

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk and popular podcast host Joe Rogan have both expressed their criticism of an article that controversially labeled exercise and fitness as “far right.” The article, originally published by MSNBC, made the bold claim that the far right has been utilizing at-home fitness trends to further their radicalization efforts in mixed martial arts and combat sports. It also asserted that physical fitness has always been a central aspect of the far right.

“MSNBC thinks you’re a nazi if you work out lmaooo,” Musk humorously remarked, poking fun at the outlet’s extreme characterization.

Rogan, a well-known advocate for exercise and fitness, also voiced his disapproval of the article, responding with a blunt “holy f***” to the outlet’s assertion.

The article, originally published on March 22, 2022, resurfaced on Twitter without any clear explanation for its reemergence.
