Nikki Haley amasses $34.3M since launching presidential campaign.
Republican Presidential Candidate Nikki Haley Raises $34.3 Million
Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley has made a significant financial stride since launching her campaign in February. Her campaign announced on July 10 that she has raised an impressive $34.3 million.
Haley, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and South Carolina governor, has received $15.6 million through her campaign. Additionally, her super PAC, Stand for America, has raised $18.7 million. In the second quarter, she raised $7.3 million, slightly less than the $8.3 million raised in the first quarter.
Currently, Haley has $26.3 million remaining, with $9.3 million from her campaign and $17 million from Stand for America.
The campaign has received nearly 160,000 donations from all 50 states, with the highest number of donations coming from South Carolina, Florida, and Texas.
“Nikki is grateful for the groundswell of support from nearly 160,000 donations from all 50 states,” said Haley campaign communications director Nachama Soloveichik in a statement. “Voters want their next president to take on China, speak out against socialism at home and abroad, and provide a vision for a strong and proud America.”
Haley’s fundraising numbers fall behind those of former President Donald Trump, under whom she served, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.
Trump’s campaign, including the MAGA Inc. super PAC, has raised an impressive $75.1 million since its launch in November 2022. In the first quarter, Trump brought in $18.8 million, and in the second quarter, he raised over $35 million.
DeSantis, who entered the race in May, has raised $150 million through his campaign and his super PAC, Never Back Down, from all 50 states. However, a significant portion of that amount, over $80 million, was transferred from his successful gubernatorial reelection campaign. DeSantis’ campaign itself raised $20 million in the most recent quarter.
Despite these figures, Haley, DeSantis, and Trump are all set to qualify for the first GOP primary debate in Milwaukee in August, hosted by Fox News. The qualifications to participate in the debate include polling at least 1 percent in three national polls or 1 percent in two national polls and a Republican National Committee-recognized poll from two of the early voting states: Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina. As of July 9, Haley averages 3.9 percent in polls, according to FiveThirtyEight.
Nevertheless, Haley has expressed her commitment to the 2024 race.
‘No One Will Outwork Me’
“It’s early, and no one will outwork me. No one will outsmart me in this race,” Haley told The Epoch Times in June when asked about her strategy for achieving success, as she did when running for the South Carolina state legislature and governorship.
“We’re going to touch every hand. We’re going to answer every question,” she continued. “We’re going to do everything we need to in order to earn the support of the people. And at the end of the day, I know we’ll be successful.”
Since launching her campaign, Haley has been actively hosting events in Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
