Goya CEO advises Republicans on winning Latino vote in 2024.

CEO of Goya Offers Tips for Winning Latino Vote in 2024

Robert Unanue, the CEO of Goya, has shared valuable insights on how the Republican Party can secure the Latino vote in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. Unanue emphasized the significance of the Latino community in the United States, highlighting that it is currently the second-largest Latino country in the world. He identified “the values of God, family, and work” as the three key factors that unite this community.

“When we, as a company, embraced these values and invoked God a few years ago, it not only resonated with the Latino community but also expanded our consumer base,” Unanue explained during an interview on Fox Business.

Unanue acknowledged that while this approach may have upset those who thrive on hate, destruction, and division, it is crucial for the nation to prioritize unity, love, and building a better future together.

The Goya CEO further expressed that many Latinos feel abandoned by the Democratic Party, believing that their values have been disregarded. He emphasized that these values will play a significant role in determining the outcome of the election. Unanue revealed that only 11% of Latinos believe the Republican Party represents them, while 37% feel that neither party truly speaks for them, presenting an opportunity for Republicans to win over the Latino vote.

Recent analysis of the 2022 election data supports the Republican Party’s efforts to engage with the Latino community. While turnout in Latino districts lagged in some states during the midterm elections, positive results were observed, particularly in California.
