Former President Donald Trump Reveals Plan to End Ukraine War in 24 Hours
During a recent interview, Donald Trump shared his strategy to bring an end to the war in Ukraine within just one day. The former president stated that he would threaten to provide Ukraine with an unprecedented amount of weapons if Russian President Vladimir Putin did not cease the conflict.
Trump made these remarks during an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo. When asked for specifics on how he would achieve this feat, Trump began by praising Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for his integrity and loyalty.
However, Bartiromo interjected, expressing doubt that Zelensky’s support alone would be enough to convince Putin to stop bombing Ukraine. Trump responded confidently, stating that he knew both Zelensky and Putin very well and had maintained positive relationships with both leaders.
Trump declared, “I would tell Zelensky, no more. You have to make a deal. And I would tell Putin, if you don’t make a deal, we’re going to give Ukraine a lot more than they ever received before. I will have the deal done in one day.”

Trump’s comments sparked a strong reaction online, with commentators from various backgrounds weighing in on his approach. Some pointed out that Trump had skipped Tucker Carlson’s forum in Iowa, where candidates were questioned extensively about their stance on Ukraine.
Republican strategist Ryan James Girdusky tweeted, “This is basically what Biden is doing.”
David Reaboi, a fellow at the Claremont Institute, expressed his astonishment at Trump’s remarks. He noted, “In order to end the war, Trump commits to following the Lindsay Graham and Neocon policy of arming Ukraine to the teeth. That’s exactly what’s happening now, and it hasn’t changed Putin’s behavior. Would Trump escalate against Russia beyond that? That’s exactly what Americans don’t want.”
He continued, “Newsflash to MAGA: Trump isn’t even suggesting the Biden policy—even the White House is slowly coming to realize that the whole thing is a mess—he is endorsing exactly the Lindsay Graham policy to end the war. How does that sit with you?”
David Sacks, an influential Republican, responded with disappointment.
