In the Peach State, recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), also known as food stamps, can expect their monthly payments to be delivered within the next five days.
SNAP benefits are issued to all eligible individuals from the fifth to the 23rd of each month. For July, the distribution of benefits in Georgia will conclude on July 23.
SNAP Benefits Distribution Schedule in Georgia
In Georgia, SNAP benefits are distributed on a set schedule every month, based on the last two digits of the client’s ID:

- Client IDs ending in 00-09: Benefits received on the fifth of the month
- Client IDs ending in 10-19: Benefits received on the seventh
- Client IDs ending in 20-29: Benefits received on the ninth
- Client IDs ending in 30-39: Benefits received on the 11th
- Client IDs ending in 40-49: Benefits received on the 13th
- Client IDs ending in 50-59: Benefits received on the 15th
- Client IDs ending in 60-69: Benefits received on the 17th
- Client IDs ending in 70-79: Benefits received on the 19th
- Client IDs ending in 80-89: Benefits received on the 21st
- Client IDs ending in 90-99: Benefits received on the 23rd
SNAP benefits can be used for purchasing food, groceries for meal preparation, and seeds. However, they cannot be used to buy prepared meals from grocery stores or restaurants. The state allows the purchase of ice, water, and room temperature foods that are “not designed to be consumed in the store” using SNAP benefits.
Beneficiaries receive their SNAP benefits through an electronic benefit transfer card, which can be used to make eligible purchases both in-store and online at approved retailers.
