Former President Donald Trump Marvels at Chinese President Xi Jinping’s Rule
In a Fox News town hall on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump expressed admiration for Chinese President Xi Jinping and his leadership style. Trump referred to Xi as the “perfect” man to run the world’s largest communist dictatorship.
During the interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump praised Xi’s intelligence and ability to govern a population of 1.4 billion people with an iron fist. He compared Xi to a Hollywood actor, stating that there is nobody in the entertainment industry who could portray the Chinese president accurately.
Trump’s comments about Xi are not new. In a previous interview in April, he described Xi as a “brilliant man” and emphasized their positive relationship.

Trump Faces Potential Indictment in Federal Criminal Investigation
The town hall took place just hours after Trump revealed on social media that he had been notified of his status as the target of a federal criminal investigation led by special counsel Jack Smith. The letter he received included an offer for him to testify at trial, indicating that an indictment may be imminent.
Expressing his frustration, Trump referred to Smith as “deranged” and criticized the timing of the letter. He believes that being named a target of the January 6th Grand Jury investigation will likely lead to his arrest and indictment.
Smith, appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland, has been tasked with investigating Trump’s handling of sensitive documents and his alleged attempts to overturn the 2020 election. The Washington grand jury is specifically examining Trump’s actions between the election and the events of January 6, 2021.
