IRS whistleblower willing to share more Hunter Biden WhatsApp messages with Congress.
IRS Whistleblower Reveals Undisclosed WhatsApp Messages from Hunter Biden
During a July 19 hearing of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability, IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler made a stunning revelation. He stated that there were WhatsApp messages from Hunter Biden that were not included in their original disclosure to Congress. Ziegler even offered to provide additional content, promising to shed more light on the matter.
Last month, on June 22, House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Jason Smith (R-Mo.) unveiled allegations from IRS supervisor and investigator Gary Shapley and the anonymous whistleblower, Joseph Ziegler. They claimed that the IRS and Department of Justice (DOJ) had interfered with an IRS investigation into President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. The allegations suggested that the family had received preferential treatment both before and after the 2020 election.
On July 19, both Shapley and Ziegler appeared before the House panel to discuss their allegations against the DOJ and IRS. They specifically highlighted the contents of a 2017 WhatsApp message in which Hunter Biden allegedly demanded payment from Chinese officials. In the message, he emphasized that his father, Joe Biden, was present in the room with him, adding weight to his demands.
“I am sitting here with my father, and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled,” wrote Hunter Biden, expressing his desire to resolve the matter before it escalated. He further warned that if anyone other than the Chinese official he was communicating with attempted to intervene, he would ensure severe consequences. Hunter Biden concluded the message by stating, “I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father.”
An attorney representing Hunter Biden has denied the authenticity of these messages, which have become crucial evidence in the investigation into the IRS and DOJ’s handling of the tax investigation. The attorney dismissed the alleged screenshots as “not real” and claimed that they contained numerous issues.
Similarly, President Joe Biden, who has consistently maintained that he was not involved in his son’s business affairs, denied being present in the room when the message was sent.
However, Ziegler seemed to reaffirm the authenticity of the texts. When questioned by Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.), who has been leading broader investigations into the Bidens’ business dealings, Ziegler revealed that “there was a long WhatsApp message contained and… that was only a portion of it.” He even offered to return to the House Ways and Means Committee, which is legally required to authorize the release of all whistleblower disclosures related to the IRS, with the complete set of messages.
Shapley also challenged the president’s claim of non-involvement with his family’s business dealings during the hearing. He cited “multiple instances in this investigation where there are references to the subject, President Biden.”
Shapley further commented that the WhatsApp messages should have been thoroughly investigated. He expressed his disappointment that this crucial aspect was overlooked, stating that it was a significant deviation in the case.
The revelations made by these whistleblowers have sparked intense scrutiny and raised serious questions about the Biden family’s activities.
