Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Accuses Democrats of Election Meddling
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has accused special counsel Jack Smith and Democrats of engaging in “election meddling” following reports that Smith sent a target letter to former President Donald Trump regarding an ongoing investigation.

The target letter, which Trump claims to have received over the weekend, allegedly informs him that the Justice Department is investigating his actions during and after the 2020 election, specifically regarding the events leading up to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
However, Greene expressed her skepticism during an interview on Fox Business’s Kudlow, stating that these indictments and media reports are part of a political strategy by Democrats to secure victories in the 2024 elections.
“We don’t even know the charges he’s bringing against President Trump, but it’s election meddling for sure,” Greene asserted.
“The Democrats have one goal in mind: to cover up the crimes of the Biden family and other Democrat corruption. By smearing President Trump with allegations of crimes, they hope to keep his name in the headlines and influence future elections. This is deeply concerning, and it appears to be their strategy for 2024,” she added.

Following the news of Trump receiving the target letter, Greene took to Twitter, accusing Smith of “weaponizing the Department of Justice against President Trump” and dismissing the possibility of a third indictment as “absolute bulls***.”
Sources familiar with the situation surrounding the target letter have informed ABC News that Smith is considering charging Trump with three federal statutes, including conspiracy to commit offense or to defraud the United States, deprivation of rights under color of law, and tampering with a witness, victim, or an informant.
