Joe Ziegler denies leaking Hunter Biden investigation details to House Oversight.
Whistleblower Denies Leaking Information on Hunter Biden Investigation
Whistleblower Joe Ziegler made a bold statement during his testimony before the House Oversight Committee. He adamantly denied being the source of any leaked information regarding the investigation into Hunter Biden.
In a highly anticipated public appearance, Ziegler, previously known as ”Whistleblower X,” faced questioning from Rep. Tim Burchett (R-KY). Burchett directly asked Ziegler if he had ever disclosed any investigative details to the public.
The Alleged Leak
Burchett did not provide specific details about the information he was referring to. However, it is possible that he was alluding to a report released by the group Marco Polo. This report, which contained over 10,000 images from Hunter Biden’s laptop, was published by Garrett Ziegler, a former Trump aide who is not related to Joe Ziegler.
Ziegler responded to Burchett’s question, shedding light on the situation. “There are two parts to this,” he explained. ”First, there was the release of a bank report that listed my name as one of the IRS agents involved in this case. That happened a couple of years ago, and my name became public knowledge. Second, there is a report circulating on social media, specifically Twitter, by an individual who shares my last name. I have never met this person, nor have I ever provided them with any information.”
The Founder of Marco Polo
Interestingly, Garrett Ziegler, the founder of Marco Polo, released a report in 2022 that included photos of Joe Ziegler and his husband. In this report, he criticized the “lack of accountability” within the Hunter Biden investigation, attributing it to the ”makeup and presumed biases” of those involved.
More recently, Garrett Ziegler appeared on Steve Bannon’s podcast, where he claimed that individuals involved in the Hunter Biden investigation were starting to speak out to avoid being scapegoats.
Discrediting the Whistleblower
Joe Ziegler vehemently denied the allegations of leaking information, dismissing them as an attempt to discredit him. As a gay Democrat, Ziegler faced harsh criticism from conservative critics who used his involvement in the IRS and the Hunter Biden case to attack him.
“They targeted me and my husband because of our sexual orientation,” Ziegler revealed. “They tried to paint me as a liberal operative, suggesting that I must be involved in some conspiracy. The things they said about me were truly awful. But I want to make it clear that I have never shared any information related to this case with anyone, whether it’s someone associated with the Marco Polo report or someone who happens to share my last name.”
