Sound of Freedom Shocks Box Office with $100 Million Gross
The independent film Sound of Freedom continues to make waves at the box office, reaching another milestone by grossing $100 million. Distributed by Angel Studios, this captivating movie has captured the hearts of audiences worldwide.
A True Story of Heroism and Sacrifice
Sound of Freedom tells the incredible true story of Tim Ballard, a former Homeland Security agent who bravely left his job to embark on a dangerous mission. Risking his own life, Ballard ventured into the treacherous jungles of Colombia to rescue children trapped in the horrors of sex slavery.
With each passing day, the film’s earnings soar higher. On Tuesday alone, Sound of Freedom grossed an impressive $5.5 million, bringing it closer to the remarkable $100 million milestone. And the numbers for Wednesday’s earnings are yet to be tallied!
Outshining the Competition
Sound of Freedom continues to surpass other major films in the industry. It has outperformed Sony Pictures’ Insidious: The Red Door and even surpassed Disney’s latest installment of the Indiana Jones franchise for over a week.
A Stellar Cast and Production Team
This powerful film features an exceptional cast, including Jim Caviezel from The Passion of the Christ, Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino from Mighty Aphrodite, and Bill Camp from 12 Years a Slave. The movie was skillfully produced by Eduardo Verástegui and masterfully written and directed by Alejandro Monteverde.
It’s worth noting that The Passion of the Christ, released in 2004 as an independent film, currently holds the title for the highest-grossing independent film, with earnings of $602 million. Adjusted for inflation, these earnings would reportedly exceed $900 million.
Former President Donald Trump himself screened Sound of Freedom at his New Jersey golf course on Wednesday night. He praised the film, describing it as both enjoyable and educational, an incredible source of inspiration.
“It’s something that I’m not sure you’re supposed to enjoy or learn. It’s a combination. That was a great movie. And now I understand why it is doing so well,” Trump said. “It’s an incredible inspiration.”
