Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Slams House Democrats for Hypocrisy on Anti-Semitism
Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. didn’t hold back as he criticized House Democrats for their “hypocrisy” regarding anti-Semitism during a recent House hearing on censorship.
“Ok. Let’s heap a few more layers of irony on the mountain of paradox and hypocrisy that Congressional Democrats created Thursday in their attempt to censor me from speaking at the censorship hearings,” Kennedy began in his Twitter thread.
“Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz who led the pitchfork brigade by trying to muzzle me with false accusations of racism and antisemitism, in 2016 lost her post running the DNC when leaked documents revealed that her DNC staffers were routinely and cynically using anti-Semitism to take down [Sen. Bernie Sanders],” he added.
Kennedy specifically targeted Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) for her support of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY). Schultz had attacked Kennedy during the hearing, accusing him of making anti-Semitic and anti-Asian comments.
During the hearing, Schultz attempted to move the session to executive session, claiming that Kennedy had made “despicable” comments. She cited his recent remarks about COVID-19, which Kennedy says have been misconstrued.
“COVID-19, there is an argument that it is ethnically targeted. COVID-19 attacks certain races disproportionately,” Kennedy said, according to The New York Post. “COVID-19 is targeted to attack Caucasians and black people. The people who are most immune are Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese.”
Kennedy didn’t stop there. He also criticized Schultz for her failure to condemn the anti-Semitic rhetoric of Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Ilhan Omar. He pointed out that Schultz supported Omar’s appointment to the Foreign Relations Committee despite her advocacy for a boycott of Israel.
Furthermore, Kennedy called out Schultz for defending House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), who had invited his uncle Leonard Jeffries to speak at CUNY, where he made anti-Semitic comments.
“I won’t be lectured to about anti-Semitism from Democratic lawmakers like Wasserman Schultz who voted to give Iran $150b while that regime promises a new Holocaust against the Jews. #Kennedy24,” Kennedy concluded.
Kennedy, who has polled as high as 19% among Democrat presidential primary voters, has been a vocal critic of Big Tech censorship and has raised concerns about the COVID vaccine.
