During a recent segment on‌ MSNBC, Lawrence O’Donnell ⁣accused Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. ⁣Kennedy Jr. of having a “drug addiction.” While Kennedy ⁢did struggle with drug addiction in the past, O’Donnell was ‍not referring to actual‌ drugs. Instead, he was talking about the “drug” of attention.

O’Donnell went on to compare⁣ Kennedy’s addiction⁢ to ⁢attention with ⁤former President Donald Trump’s. He claimed that both individuals have been driven by this addiction throughout their adult lives.

In the⁢ segment, O’Donnell also criticized Kennedy’s campaign for president,⁣ calling it a “stunt.” He expressed doubt that Kennedy would win any primaries and stated that Joe⁣ Biden would be the Democratic nominee.

A recent Harvard Harris‍ poll showed that Kennedy is trailing behind Biden by 46 percentage points. However, the poll also revealed that Kennedy has a​ higher favorability⁤ rating among those⁣ polled compared to Biden.

The poll also found‍ that 16 percent of‍ Democrats‌ would vote for RFK Jr.‍ in​ the Democratic⁤ primary. Additionally, respondents were‌ asked whom they would vote for if Biden ⁢dropped out of the race, with 44 percent choosing Vice President Kamala ‌Harris and 22 percent preferring⁤ RFK⁢ Jr.

Trump and RFK Jr.⁢ have⁤ recently exchanged compliments, ‌with Trump praising Kennedy’s intelligence and⁣ Kennedy ‍calling Trump the best debater since the Lincoln-Douglas debates‍ of 1858.

Despite their ‌differences, Kennedy ⁤expressed pride in Trump’s approval of him and emphasized the need to stop hating on each other.
