DeSantis team seeks donor support in Utah amidst campaign troubles.
Gov. Ron DeSantis’s Presidential Campaign Gains Momentum with Donor Meeting in Utah
Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) presidential campaign team recently convened in Utah to regroup and revitalize their efforts after a lackluster start. The meeting, attended by approximately 70 donors, was a crucial opportunity for DeSantis’s team to present their revamped campaign strategy and gather valuable input from supporters.
A Collaborative Approach to Success
Campaign manager Generra Peck, pollster Ryan Tyson, political director Sam Cooper, and deputy campaign manager Ethan Eilon took the stage to engage with the donors. They shared their plans to reverse their fortunes and discussed various aspects of the campaign, including messaging and the role of former President Donald Trump.
One of the highlights of the meeting was a brainstorming session where donors contributed their ideas for impactful debate one-liners.
Nick Iarossi, a Florida lobbyist and fundraiser familiar with the matter, emphasized the diverse group of donors in attendance, stating, “We had high-level folks from all over the country who supported a variety of candidates in the last presidential election.” The atmosphere was positive, but everyone recognized the need to raise more funds and strive for improvement.
Hal Lambert, an early DeSantis fundraiser, shared his thoughts on the campaign’s future. He speculated that there might be a possibility of Trump facing legal troubles that could impact his candidacy. However, this remark drew criticism from Trump’s team, who interpreted it as an insinuation that the campaign was hoping for a Trump indictment.
Despite the challenges, DeSantis remains determined to overcome the odds. Recent polls, such as the Rasmussen Reports poll, indicate that he currently stands at 13% support, while Trump maintains a strong lead at 57%.
With the support of dedicated donors and a renewed campaign strategy, Gov. Ron DeSantis’s presidential campaign is poised for a comeback.
