RFK Jr deeply hurt by antisemitism allegations following COVID-19 claim.
Presidential Candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Addresses Antisemitism Allegations
Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. expressed deep hurt over allegations of antisemitism following his remarks about COVID-19 being ethnically targeted. In a meeting with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, Kennedy clarified his controversial comments and highlighted his efforts to combat antisemitism and support Israel.

“I fully understand the pain caused by antisemitism, and I have no intention of contributing to that narrative,” Kennedy stated. ”I do not want those who have suffered to believe that I endorse their pain. That’s why these allegations hurt me deeply.”
Boteach questioned Kennedy about the harmful nature of his comments regarding Jews being more resistant to COVID-19, drawing a parallel with historical accusations during the Black Death. Kennedy acknowledged the harm caused and admitted that he would not have discussed the issue in a public setting.
“I was referring to an NIH-funded article published in 2021 by the Cleveland Clinic, which I had no involvement in,” Kennedy explained. “I am aware of the history of blood libels and how such information can be manipulated by malicious individuals to incite hatred towards Jews. I only discussed it in an event where Chatham House rules applied.”
He further emphasized that the context of the discussion was centered around ethnic bioweapons, clarifying that Jewish people had no involvement in its production, as most gain-of-function research occurred in China.
The conversation then shifted to Israel and their shared concerns about the Democratic Party’s stance towards the nation. Kennedy pledged to be a staunchly pro-Israel president, expressing his deep admiration for the Middle Eastern country and his desire to restore its image in the minds of Americans.
“A significant part of my campaign will involve educating the American people about the fallacy of the anti-Israel viewpoint,” Kennedy declared.

Kennedy’s comments echo his previous defenses regarding COVID-19, where he suggested that Ashkenazi Jews, along with Chinese individuals, appeared to be less affected by the virus compared to other races.
Earlier this month, he tweeted, “I have never, ever suggested that the COVID-19 virus was targeted to spare Jews.” Instead, he clarified that he was highlighting the disproportionate impact of the virus on certain races and ethnicities as evidence of the concept of ethnically targeted bioweapons.
