A Crane Engulfed in Flames Falls Near Hell’s Kitchen Neighborhood

A terrifying incident unfolded ⁣in the⁤ bustling neighborhood of ⁢Hell’s Kitchen in Manhattan on Wednesday. A massive ⁢crane, which was working on an under-construction skyscraper, caught ⁢fire and eventually collapsed, striking a nearby building in the process.

“The crane ⁢was engulfed in flames before part⁢ of‌ it fell to‌ the ground, hitting a nearby building ​in the process.”

The New ⁢York‌ City Fire Department swiftly ​responded to⁣ the alarming situation, describing it ‍as a “4-alarm box” fire. They even shared a ⁤video of the raging⁤ flames on their Twitter page.

“An alert from the New York City⁢ Fire Department’s Twitter page described​ the fire as a ‘4-alarm ‍box’ fire, also‌ saying the building was vacant or under construction.”

Concerned for the safety of residents and passersby, ​the city’s emergency notification‍ system issued alerts, urging people to avoid the area and anticipate the arrival of emergency ‍personnel. They also warned of‌ potential smoke ‍and traffic delays.

“In an ⁢alert sent just before 8 a.m. local time, New⁣ York‌ City’s emergency notification system warned residents to avoid the area and expect emergency personnel. ⁤Nearly 30 minutes later, the city sent an additional alert telling residents to expect ‘smoke and traffic delays.'”

The incident ‌has left the community shaken, and the New York City Fire Department is currently​ investigating the cause of the fire. The Washington Examiner has reached out to them for more information.
