The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District swiftly responded to the tragic event, posting updates on social media. Initially, they reported a commercial structure fire at Cable Airport in Upland. However, their subsequent update revealed the heartbreaking news: “IC advising knock down on fire. Three occupants of aircraft located deceased. Units committed to overhaul. Investigators enroute.”
Upon arrival, firefighters were met with a harrowing sight as the plane was engulfed in flames. There was a legitimate concern that the hangar and a nearby fuel truck could also catch fire. However, the brave firefighters acted swiftly, extinguishing the flames and ensuring the safety of all involved. Thankfully, no injuries were reported among the firefighters.
