Archer, who is facing a one-year prison term for an unrelated fraud case, was subpoenaed to appear before the committee. According to CNN, he provided crucial information about the Bidens’ involvement in what he described as “influence peddling.”
Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia, who was present during the closed-door meeting, stated that Archer told legislators that “the Bidens were in the actual business of influence peddling.” The UK’s Daily Mail reported Greene’s comments.

According to Greene, Archer’s testimony is “extremely damning.” She emphasized that Archer revealed that Hunter Biden and Joe Biden had more than 20 conversations about business deals, not just casual conversations. Greene believes that this information could potentially lead to an impeachment inquiry into the president.
Republican Representative Andy Biggs of Arizona also attended the meeting and stated that Archer emphasized the importance of the Biden connection to Burisma, the Ukrainian energy company. Archer reportedly said that Burisma would have faced significant challenges without the Biden family’s involvement, as people would be hesitant to interfere with the Biden brand.

Archer, who served on the board of the Ukrainian energy firm alongside Hunter Biden, revealed that Hunter was paid $50,000 per month for his role. Greene expressed her hope that Archer’s testimony will have a significant impact on the potential impeachment inquiry into President Biden.
Democratic Representative Dan Goldman of New York offered a different perspective on Archer’s testimony. He stated that over the course of 10 years, there were approximately 20 instances when Hunter Biden put his father on the phone to speak with his associates. However, Goldman claimed that these conversations were mostly casual and did not involve discussions about business deals.
